What we found
Between June and September, parents, SBMC members and GIRLsLEAD fellows visited schools across Oyo West and recorded what they saw using Traza+. Each report was geo-tagged and checked against the indicator framework before it was counted.
Reports documented a collapsed perimeter wall and repeated intrusions at a girls’ secondary school. The SBMC took the evidence to the LGA, and the security allocation was released and spent on a fence and a working gate.
"Parents kept their daughters home because the gate was broken. Now they walk them to it."Ruth O., SBMC chair
